REMEI A L'EXILE
LaMultiverse (Colombia) and Col·lectiu Collage (Spain) have joined forces to create Remei a L'exili, an international co-production that won the IBERESCENA's International Stage Coproduction Grant in 2023 and premiered in 2024.
This work proposes a symbolic reparation or a Remei a L'exili (Remedy to Exile) by the artist Remedios Varo, who had to leave Barcelona and later France, due to violence and civil war, to go into exile in Mexico.
Winner of the IBERESCENA 2023–2024 Co-production Grants for Performing Arts Projects.

After creating an artography of the artist—drawing inspiration from her life and work, and through a performative intervention in her hometown of Anglès, in the province of Girona—Remei a L’exili emerges as a surreal-tinged stage experience.
This work establishes a dialogue between contemporary dance, music, video-artography, and collage, proposing a scenic metaphor of repatriation and remembrance in honor of this woman artist, feminist, dissident, and her wild imagination.
