Who are we?

La Multiverse is a performing arts company based in Bogota, Colombia, founded in 2019. It is directed by choreographer Angélica Roa and supported by a group of interdisciplinary artists, including music composer Nicolás Soto and dancer and cultural manager Ana Melissa Caballero. It was founded to create, produce, and develop interdisciplinary performing arts that integrate dance, music, visual arts, science, and ancestral knowledge. Its work focuses on the research and articulation of these languages, generating innovative projects that expand the possibilities of performing arts and foster dialogue between different artistic and knowledge disciplines.

 

Nowadays, the company boasts a repertoire of five stage works and four video dances, including the Cinedanza Kosmocorporea presented in movie theaters. In addition, the company has won five creative grants, including Bogotá's most prestigious grant for large-format multidisciplinary creation, awarded for the work Bryophyllum in 2022. Resulting in a co-production with Teatro Municipal Jorge Eliécer Gaitán and Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, the two largest and most important theaters in Bogotá.

 

Internationally, the company has been selected for the DZM Festival in Cáceres, Spain, the Bogota Experimental Film Festival, and was a finalist at the Crossroads International Short Film Festival in Istanbul. It has also collaborated internationally with Circuito Liquen from Mexico and Col·lectiu Collage from Barcelona, obtaining one of IBERESCENA's International Stage Production Grants in 2023.
